What is Neutral DAS?
In the neutral-host model, a third party deploys the DAS and then manages collection of access fees from the service providers while making lease payments to the venue for use of the facilities. This minimizes the venue’s direct involvement in deployment and maintenance of the DAS.
Why Use DAS?
DAS provides a way to efficiently distribute wireless connections inside buildings or other structures where steel columns and layers of concrete can interfere with wireless signals. This means reliable cellular signal throughout the structure or across multiple buildings. A single DAS can support multiple wireless technologies including CDMA, GSM, iDEN, LTE, PCS and WiMax.
